Sadie Smith

From a non-horsey background, Sadie started riding aged 8 at her local riding school Quob Stables in Southampton. Sadie’s introduction to Dressage aged 17 was with a cob she had on loan, she quickly fell in love with the sport and went to work for Roland Tong riding young horses and gaining competitive experience. During those 5 years, Sadie won 4 national titles and since then, she has won a total of 13 national titles, 10 Regional titles and various other championships including the prestigious Badminton Young Dressage Horse Championships.

After this, Sadie worked freelance for 3 years riding for Annie McDonald Hall and Sarah Tyler-Evans. It was Sarah who introduced Sadie to Carl Hester and since 2016, she has worked as a rider and a groom for Carl. Sadie currently enjoys competing her horse Mamo at Grand Prix level.
